Indiana city hopes to relieve stress of street parking by rolling out new fancy technology

ParkMobile is set to enhance the parking experience in Fort Wayne, IN. This month, the ParkMobile app will be available for on-demand metered parking across the city, following a strategic partnership with the Fort Wayne City Clerk's office.

Users can conveniently pay for parking digitally by entering the zone number displayed on nearby signage into the ParkMobile app or website. David Holler, vice president of sales at ParkMobile, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the platform's goal to make urban areas more livable by alleviating parking stress.

“Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a seamless parking experience, allowing them to focus on enjoying local restaurants, retailers, and entertainment,” he stated. Fort Wayne City Clerk Lana Keesling highlighted the initiative as a significant advancement in modernizing and streamlining on-street parking, enhancing convenience and accessibility for all.

Tear that junk out. It’s not to relieve parking issues. It’s to make money for a third party.
