    Mets Drop NLCS Opener, Yankees Begin ALCS On Monday

    The Mets were shutout in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, losing to the Dodgers 9 to 0 in Los Angeles.

    The Mets managed just three hits in the game, while starting pitcher Kodai Senga was chased from the game in the 2nd inning. Game 2 of the NLCS is on Monday with Sean Manaea getting the start.

    The Yankees begin the American League Championship Series on Monday, facing the Cleveland Guardians who survived a series with the Detroit Tigers. Carlos Rodon will take the mound for the Yankees in the Bronx.
