(AP Photo/Ian Walton) AP</figcaption></figure><p>After a dramatic week for the New York Jets (2-3), they welcome their AFC East rival Buffalo Bills (3-2) to MetLife Stadium for Monday Night Football to wrap up the NFL Week 6 schedule.</p><p>The Bills are favored by as many as 2.5 points across Michigan betting sites to beat the Jets, who fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday after a six-point loss to the undefeated Vikings in London.</p><p>Both teams are riding a two-game losing streak into Monday’s contest after the Bills fell to the Texans on a last-second field goal - one week after a blowout loss in Baltimore.</p><p>Here is our Bills vs. Jets betting preview, betting odds and predictions for Monday Night Football, which kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.</p><h2>Back the Jets after firing coach?</h2><p>While this matchup already had enough intrigue between two struggling Super Bowl hopefuls, it’s even more compelling after the Jets fired Saleh on Tuesday.</p><p>Historically, it’s been a (slightly) favorable spot to bet on a team after it fires its coach midseason. He was the NFL MVP favorite two weeks ago, but he’s completed 42.4% of his passes for a combined 311 yards and one touchdown since then.</p><p>Things don’t get easier against a Jets secondary that features two of the best cornerbacks in football in Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed.</p><p>The elite coverage led by those two has fueled the NFL’s sixth-best pressure rate (29.9%) despite other issues up front.</p><p>Yet the Jets quietly rank 24th in run defense DVOA and could still be without linebacker C.J. There’s some risk of re-injury, but assuming he plays, I think it’ll behoove the Bills to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.</p><p>This also feels like a prime spot to use Cook out of the backfield - his 11 catches rank third on the team through five weeks.</p><p>He’s dealing at +120 odds at BetMGM Sportsbook to finish with Over 2.5 catches, which would turn a $10 bet into a $12 profit.</p><h2>Bills vs. Jets prediction</h2><p>I liked Bills -2.5 when this line first opened on Sunday, and I still favor Buffalo at -2 amid the seeming dysfunction in New York.</p><p>Aaron Rodgers isn’t moving right in his age-40 season coming off an Achilles, and I don’t think firing a defensive-minded head coach - and then demoting Rodgers' hand-picked OC - does much to solve that.</p><p>If you don’t believe in the Bills offense, I don’t mind a bet on Under 41 at -110 odds via BetMGM.
