The New York Giants fell 17-7 to the Cincinnati Bengals at MetLife Stadium, marking their fourth loss of the season and their fourth time scoring fewer than 20 points.

The Giants managed to score their first home touchdown of the year, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Bengals as the NFC East standings begin to take shape.

Throughout the game, the Giants’ offense struggled to find consistency while their defense provided several opportunities to turn the tide. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow opened the game with a 47-yard touchdown run, putting Cincinnati ahead 7-0 in the first quarter.

New York, however, responded in the third quarter after rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr., filling in for Devin Singletary, scored on a one-yard run to tie the game at 7-7 following a fumble recovery by the defense.

Despite the defensive effort, the Giants couldn't capitalize offensively. The Bengals added a field goal to take a 10-7 lead late in the third quarter. The Giants then missed a field goal, turned the ball over on downs, and missed another field goal late in the game, ultimately sealing their fate.

    NFC East standings :

    • Commanders (4-2)
    • Eagles (3-2)
    • Cowboys (3-3)
    • Giants (2-4)

Despite their struggles, the Giants remain within striking distance in an unpredictable NFC East. The division has seen the Washington Commanders, led by a rookie quarterback, take the lead, while the Cowboys and Eagles continue to battle for playoff positioning. With plenty of season left, the Giants will look to prove they belong in the playoff conversation.
