Although Keith’s ABC bio lists his job as a “girl dad,” he has an actual career too. Keith works as the Director of Sales for Optics Products at Amphenol ICC, according to his LinkedIn. The company is “one of the world’s largest providers of high-technology interconnect, sensor and antenna solutions,” per its website.

Keith has held the position since 2020. Prior to that, he worked for nearly 20 years at Finisar Corporation in a variety of positions. He also worked at Molex for more than 14 years in the 1980s and 1990s.

Keith has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University.

Keith is the proud dad of three daughters: Ryan, Annika and Ella. He is a single dad and revealed that he split from his wife around 2012 because “addiction was in the family.”

“I’ve been the sole parent for my kids for really the last 12 years,” Keith revealed on The Golden Bachelorette . “That’s when we had to separate from my ex-wife. Addiction was in the family. So, I had to try to give my daughters some sort of stability in their life. I’ve given them all this time and effort and love over the years. And that will never change.”

Keith’s eldest daughter, Ryan, moved to Los Angeles in 2018, per a post on her Instagram page. Middle child Annika lives in Chico, California, while Ella just graduated from high school in May 2024.

Since Keith became an empty-nester after Ella’s graduation, he was “ready to put himself first and prioritize finding love,” which led him to The Golden Bachelorette.

For his entrance on The Golden Bachelorette , Keith decided not to take a limo like the other men. Instead he drove up in a station wagon and later got Joan's first impression rose .

“I loved it when you came in that big old stupid station wagon that reminded me of my childhood,” Joan told him. “And when you got out – this is super scary to me – and you just made me feel safe. You have this calm voice and you’re just thi big teddy bear kind of guy. It just felt good to me. It felt easy. And you said the thing about grabbing a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers and going to the beach, which is just what I love to do.”

Aside from the nostalgia that Keith’s entrance brought, Joan also felt a deeper connection to him right away. “We just had a nice, normal conversation and he just made me feel comfortable immediately,” she told E! News . “And then, honestly, when it was time for us to move on – like I had to greet the next guy – I really didn’t want to leave him.”
