Texas had several big-time contributors during a dominant 34-3 win over Oklahoma on Saturday, and one of the biggest standouts was linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. He led the team with 11 tackles (3.5 for a loss) and two sacks, making plays all over the field. Hill earned SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors for that incredible performance.

According to Pro Football Focus, Hill finished with an overall grade of 76.1, which was his third-highest of the season. He was also tracked with five defensive stops , a signature metric that measures plays where a "defender makes a tackle, and because of where the tackle occurs, the play is a successful one for the defense."

Hill is the only Power Four linebacker with over 40 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception this season. He's on track for potential All-American honors after being named to the Freshman All-American team last year.

Hill's defensive presence will again be critical against a potent Georgia offense this week. Still just a sophomore, Hill won't be eligible for the NFL Draft until 2026 at the earliest. However, if he keeps stacking elite performances like this against top competition, pro scouts will continue to take notice.
