Despite being one of the more widely celebrated holidays of the year, Thanksgiving typically doesn’t have much to offer in terms of the cutesy, themed decor we’ve come to expect from other larger-than- life festivities—at least not in the same over-the-top, grandiose, dedicated corner-of-the-store kind of way. Sure, you’ll find a few errant plate sets and porch signs emblazoned with some variation of the word “thankful” on them, but usually, Thanksgiving decor skews more general fall than specific to the holiday itself.
Don’t get us wrong—we love a good “grateful” needlepoint pillow as much as the next person, and the DIY, choose-your-own-adventure vibe of figuring out our harvest-themed decor allows us to think outside the box. Now, however, we think it’s about time the abundant celebration got its own section of the store like Halloween and Christmas do. Who said they get to have all the fun anyway?

Of course, we can always rely on Target to kickstart a trend, and the latest perfect-for-Thanksgiving finds to hit their famed Bullseye's Playground might be just the catalyst we needed to give the quintessential American holiday the section of the store it rightfully deserves.
Tarzhay fanatic @targettrendsetter shared a look at the newest items to make their way to Target stores, and we’re obsessed with more than a few of the adorably on-theme pieces. Aside from the turkey-shaped slippers, butter keepers shaped like pumpkins and wacky turkey toss game, we were most intrigued by a set of Thanksgiving To-Go Containers, perfect for leftovers on the big day.

Available in sets of two, these dainty containers feature phrases like, “Thankful for leftovers,” “My eyes were bigger than my stomach” and our personal favorite, “I’m all about that baste.” Each $3 container also comes with a handy lid to ensure your guests' leftovers are safe and secure on their travels home. In terms of size, these containers are probably best for single-serving sides, like a scoop of mac and cheese or a dollop of roasted garlic mashed potatoes (if there’s even any left).
That being said, fans were quick to take issue with how small the to-go containers are, with one saying, “If only the to-go containers were a little bigger 😅” While we agree that these aren’t substantial enough to hold slices of turkey, stuffing , green bean casserole , ham and all the fixings, you could just swing by Aldi on your way home to grab a set of handy containers perfect for cramming full with all your delectable dinner leftovers.
