Bret Baier Previews Fox News Interview With Kamala Harris By Arguing She Knows She Needs New ‘Strategy,’ ‘More Outreach’

Fox News’ Bret Baier previewed his interview with Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris later this week during a Monday segment with John Roberts, in which he suggested that the Harris camp knows it needs to adopt a new “strategy.”

Baier kicked off the segment by arguing that Fox has “a big audience that they [the Harris campaign] want to talk to — independents, Democrats, and Republicans.”

“I mean, there’s so much to talk about with her. And this is all — let me put up the latest polling for the Keystone State — this is all in the constellation of a tightening race. She was ahead 51-45, according to Quinnipiac in September. It’s now tighter, 49-46,” observed Roberts. “If you look at the RCP average, it’s even closer. And things have changed for her in the big seven battleground states. She’s ahead in two, Trump is ahead in five, so. And look at how close the national average is, when you consider how far out Biden was in 2020, how far out Hillary Clinton was in 2016, this could be a real difficult.”

Yeah, and I do think that that’s a sense that that they have inside the campaign, their strategy has to change, they’ve got to change. They’re losing Black males, you saw former President Obama and what he did in Philadelphia trying to talk to Black males,” replied Baier. “I think that the campaign realizes they have to do more outreach. And, you know, the countdown is on here.”

“I think they’re realizing that there is a shift in the polls. It may be small, but it is noticeable towards the former president,” he concluded.

Harris will sit down for an interview with Baier in Pennsylvania on Wednesday that will air that same evening.
