CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Nearing the finish line of their repaving project, the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) will resume roadwork tonight on the North Side portion of DuSable Lake Shore Drive (DLSD).

As a result, temporary overnight closures will be in place throughout the work week. The difference however between this phase of the project compared to previous ones is that there will only be partial closures. One lane and all ramps will stay open.

Here is the CDOT’s schedule, weather permitting, starting Monday, Oct. 14 through Thursday, Oct 17:

-Each night, beginning at 7 p.m., southbound DLSD, between Irving Park Road and North Avenue,  will be down to one lane.

-Each night, beginning at 7 p.m.,southbound and northbound DLSD, between Hollywood and Lawrence avenues , will be reduced to three lanes.

    -All ramps will stay open.

-All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m.

CDOT urges drives to be cautious, look out for flaggers and workers as well as obey the work zone speed limits.

The City’s resurfacing project is slated to complete by the end of the month.
