Jamie Foxx is thrilled to be back doing what he truly loves: entertaining his fans on the big stage. This Monday, the comedian shared a heartfelt post reflecting on his challenging health journey while looking back at how far he’s come.

During his one-man show, he provided what he described as an “artistic explanation” of the circumstances that went “terribly wrong” with his health last year. The 56-year-old expressed, “God is good… As I post these pictures, my heart and my soul are filled with nothing but pure joy…on October 3, fourth, and fifth, I had an opportunity to tell my side of the story, and there was no better place than Atlanta, Georgia.”

He continued to share his gratitude over his carousel of photos, saying, “I have to thank you Atlanta, you showed up and you showed out. I haven’t been on stage in 18 years, but I needed the stage, and I needed an audience made up of nothing but pure love, and that’s what you were. When people ask me if this is a stand-up comedy show, I say no, it’s an artistic explanation of something that went terribly wrong, but thanks to the great people in Atlanta, especially Piedmont Hospital, you enabled me to come back and be on stage and do what I love to do the most… #nobaddays, as my guy James would say #secondchance Thank you, Atlanta.”

    What Happened To Jamie Foxx?

As we previously reported, Foxx was initially hospitalized back in May. He received treatment at a hospital in Atlanta for an undisclosed issue. A month later, his daughter Corrine announced that Foxx was “out of the hospital” and recovering, even well enough to play pickleball. He was later reported to be undergoing treatment at a rehabilitation center in Chicago.

During this time, neither Foxx nor his family shared any specific details about what occurred with the actor. However, earlier this year, he touched on his health scare while accepting the Vanguard Award for Amazon Prime Video’s “The Burial.”

“Cherish life, man. I have some people in my life that really made sure I was here, because it was dire straits. So I value, I’m telling you. My daughter thinks sometimes I’m too thankful nowadays. Because I’m just so thankful. I was drinking some water, ‘Wow, have you tasted this water? It’s so wet! This is the wettest water. Was it like this before I passed away?’” Foxx humorously remarked to the crowded room.
