DeMeco Ryans and the Houston Texans are off to a great start in their 2024 NFL campaign. With a win over the New England Patriots this past Sunday, the team moved its season record to 5-1 and extended its strong first-place lead in the AFC South.

Ryans and the Texans will look to continue this hot start in Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

When asked about facing off against second-year quarterback Jordan Love this weekend, Ryans sent a veiled shot at Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

"He will be the best quarterback we've seen this year," Ryans said of Love.

The Texans faced off against Allen and the Bills just two Sundays ago in Week 5.

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud out-dueled Allen in this Week 5 matchup, coming out on top with a 23-20 final score. Stroud finished the game with 331 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 28-38 passing. Allen recorded 131 yards and one touchdown on an inefficient 9/30 passing.

Love has a 2-2 record as the Packers' starting quarterback so far this season. Through these four games, the second-year signal caller has 1,131 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Allen has 945 passing yards, eight touchdowns and has yet to throw an interception through his first five games of the 2024 NFL season. He's also recorded 160 rushing yards and two scores on the ground.

Allen and the Bills will face off against the New York Jets in a primetime Monday Night Football matchup later this evening.

I'm a Houston fan and it's disappointing that he would take a pop shot at another teams QB. Let's stick to winning on the field and remain humble. It's a long season. Let's hope this doesn't become bulletin board material and this come back to haunt us. Keep it classy.
