The trade that sent Donte DiVincenzo to the Minnesota Timberwolves along with Julius Randle is hotly contested across the fanbase for the New York Knicks.

On one hand, the addition of All-NBA center Karl-Anthony Towns seems like a slam-dunk decision. On the other, DiVincenzo and Randle were so important to the team's success in 2024 that the Knicks weren't going to be vilified for trying to run it back another season.

Whatever the case, DiVincenzo's new teammate Anthony Edwards believes New York may come to regret their decision - even if the Knicks believed the shooting guard wouldn't be happy on the floor in limited action.

“You can’t be mad at him, man,” Edwards said. “He makes all the right plays and shoots the cover off the ball. New York is definitely going to miss him.”

Unlike many places that would disagree with an opposing player, there will be plenty of Knicks fans who agree with Edwards in that regard. Especially when Randle is brought into the conversation.

The only question will be if the front office was right to make the move or not in the end.

And we won't get a gauge on that answer for a little bit.
