Andrew Garfield had split from 'professional witch' girlfriend 'months ago'

Andrew Garfield has discreetly parted ways with Dr Kate Tomas. The 41-year-old actor and the 42-year-old spiritual mentor revealed that they ended their brief romance "months ago."

The pair were last seen together at the annual Wimbledon tennis tournament in July. Kate clarified the circumstances of their breakup to a fan on Instagram.

She hinted at an amicable split in her response when a fan asked about her relationship with The Amazing Spider-Man star. She said: "We broke up months ago but I'm sure he will be happy to know that he is loved."

Another user advised Kate not to discuss the actor as he "never spoke of her."

But she retorted: "Sweetheart, the only people who ever talk about or center a man in my life, work, business, and social media are women like you," reports the Mirror .

A source previously told US Weekly about Andrew and Kate's relationship, saying: "Things are fairly new between Andrew and Kate, but she's down to earth and he feels very comfortable with her. Andrew really appreciates the fact that Kate is very different from other women he's dated. He thinks she has a great sense of humor and she's easy to talk to."

Kate, who has been married four times, has spoken in the past about their connection to The Sunday Times. They were first spotted together in March 2024, displaying affection publicly for the first time as a couple.

She clarified any misconceptions by saying: "'It's not about the magic spells or manipulation. It has got nothing to do with how perfect their teeth are - thank you, Reddit - or whether they conform to conventional standards of beauty. People that are really attractive are full of charisma because they are authentically themselves and confidently anchored in that. Magic takes time. It can't happen overnight."

In the revealing interview, she also shared that she identifies as queer and "neurodiverse" following her diagnoses of autism and ADHD.

Discussing other personal aspects of her life, she described how she refers to herself as disabled due to her struggles with endometriosis and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a progressively debilitating genetic disorder.

The self-proclaimed "professional witch" gave insight into her appearance, talking about her "many tattoos," especially one on her left hand stating: "F--- politeness."

She provided context for this bold statement, asserting: "Women are socialized to please others over their own safety. I'm absolutely never going to do that."

In other news, before Andrew and Kate's brief fling, the actor had previously been linked to social media influencer Olivia Brower, and prior to that, had been in an on-and-off relationship with his Amazing Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone. The couple reportedly started dating around the time of filming in 2011, with whispers claiming their split came about four years later, albeit without any official confirmation.
