The City of Alhambra proudly announces the launch of two innovative resources available around the clock at Emery Park: the "Locker of Things" and the "Vending Library." These new additions aim to enhance access to recreational activities and library resources for the community.

"This is a wonderful step forward in ensuring our community has access to educational and recreational resources, no matter their schedules," said Councilmember Adele Andrade-Stadler. "By providing these 24/7 services at Emery Park, we’re helping families connect, learn, and grow together. I want to thank Assemblymember Mike Fong for championing this project and securing the funding. It’s truly an investment in our community’s future."

The Locker of Things features five compartments filled with a variety of family-friendly games that can be checked out and enjoyed either at the park or at home. Families can look forward to popular games like UNO, Spoons, and Candy Land, making it a perfect option for bonding time.

In addition, the Vending Library offers over 200 books for checkout and return, catering especially to residents on the West side of Alhambra who may find it challenging to visit the main library. With a diverse selection of titles available in multiple languages for all ages, the Vending Library ensures that everyone can find something enjoyable, from children’s stories to young adult fiction.

The Vending Library also includes lockers for secure storage of book holds and other requested items, allowing residents to conveniently pick up their items at any time.
