Caltrans crews have commenced overnight paving operations on State Route 82/El Camino Real (SR-82/ECR) in Mountain View, Santa Clara County, as part of the SR-82 Rehabilitation Pavement Project. The paving work will take place in both the southbound and northbound directions between Mountain View Avenue and Sylvan Avenue from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Motorists should anticipate delays and allow extra travel time as lane closures will be necessary during construction.

To facilitate the work, parking will be prohibited along SR-82 in the project area, and "No Parking" signs will be posted. Public access to sidewalks, curb ramps, and several driveways will also be limited or restricted. The schedule for the paving operations is as follows: southbound work from Mountain View Avenue to The Americana will occur from October 14 to October 16, and northbound work from Sylvan Avenue to Mountain View Avenue is set for October 17 to October 18. All southbound pavement is expected to be completed by the end of next week, weather permitting. Local residents and businesses can expect normal construction activity levels during this time.
