The 2024 college football season is set to begin Week 8 and plenty of storylines have emerged this year.

Among them is the play of Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The son of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has once again flashed his talents.

As such, Shedeur Sanders is an intriguing 2025 NFL draft prospect and should be one of the first signal-callers selected, if not the first, when the draft rolls around.

Following Colorado's Week 7 heartbreak loss to Kansas State, Mike Renner of CBS Sports released a new NFL mock draft and it made for plenty of interesting fits with the top college stars.

In it, he projected Sanders to land with the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 4 overall. In this version, Sanders is the second QB taken behind Miami (FL) star Cam Ward.

Here's what Renner wrote about the projected landing spot:

"Sanders just feels like a Raider," Renner wrote. "The brash attitude Sanders displays on and off the field will fit in perfectly with the Silver and Black."

In this projection, Sanders would team up with disgruntled wide receiver Davante Adams, who is still under contract for 2024 and 2025.

However, the Adams trade rumors have been swirling as of late. In 2022, the former Green Bay Packers star signed a five-year, $140 million deal with the Raiders after being acquired via a trade.

Recently, Adams expressed his desire to be traded, but a recent report from Adam Schefter stated that the Raiders could hold on to him.

If that's the case, and the Raiders do select Sanders as the next signal-caller, perhaps the talented wide receiver would be excited to work with an emerging young quarterback.

Entering Week 7, the Raiders have a 2-4 record and have flip-flopped between veteran Gardner Minshew and youngster Aidan O'Connell at the quarterback position, neither of whom have lived up to the expectations.

Sanders in Las Vegas could be an intriguing fit for all parties if things continue at this rate.
