Colorado's dynamic two-way star, Travis Hunter, was forced out of the game against Kansas State before halftime with a shoulder injury.

Hunter remained on the sidelines without his helmet, watching as the Buffaloes endured a narrow 31-28 defeat, marking their first Big 12 loss of the season. Colorado head coach Deion Sanders said he had no intention of putting Hunter back in the game after the injury.

“I haven’t gotten an update on those particular young men,” Sanders said after the loss after multiple key players went down with injuries. “Hopefully, they can get back at it. But we’re not going to rush them. Their safety and their health is much more important than this game.”

While updates on Hunter’s status remain limited, he’s scheduled to appear on Robert Griffin III’s show Outta Pocket this Tuesday.

"Travis Hunter is the best two way player in the galaxy and an even better person," Griffin said . "Dropping Tomorrow"

It's unknown when the interview was filmed and if Hunter will give an update on his status going forward.

Griffin has developed a strong connection with this Colorado team, hosting both Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders on his show before Hunter.

He’s also voiced strong confidence in Hunter’s potential as a two-way player in the NFL.

"STOP DOUBTING TRAVIS HUNTER. He will play WR and DB in the NFL," Griffin said after Colorado's victory against UCF.

Hunter was considered one of the top contenders for the Heisman prior to the injury against Kansas State. His odds dropped to +2,500 from +320. He's chasing multiple quarterbacks and Boise State star running back Ashton Jeanty.
