Chester Bennington’s Son Addresses Chris Cornell

Late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington’s son Jaime Bennington recently opened up on his father, who tragically passed away in 2017. Taking to his Instagram story section he wrote the following:

“What THEY would want you to see…
A man with a history of substance abuse and su***al ideation m ha*gs himself from his closet door with a corporate sponsor’s belt after facing ‘hour-by- hour’ struggle with alcoholism following
the death of a close friend and colleague.

“…The absurdity of the scene itself… On Chris Cornell’s birthday, Chester (recently off of his anti- depressants, aggressively lucid, and sober) hangs himself from a closet door he is taller than with a corporate sponsors belt within hours of returning home for an unspecified LINKIN PARK project.”

I mean… come on.
This guy had plans to go to DISNYELAND with his sister @tobibennington only days after his passing.

He was in the middle of tour cycle that signaled the end of his 17 year contract with
@warnermusic.

Chester Bennington died on July 20, 2017 at age 41. The band held a tribute concert in October of that year and largely went on hiatus after that. Earlier this month, the band announced they added Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as co-vocalist and Colin Brittain as drummer. They join the lineup of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn.

Linkin Park recently unveiled a new single titled “The Emptiness Machine” from their upcoming album From Zero which marks the band’s first release of new music in several years. The band performed in a live stream event on September 5th to announce their comeback and introduced their new vocalist Emily Armstrong. Her addition to the band received massive criticism and it also didn’t sit well with Jamie . Mike Shinoda  had addressed the same. However, Chester’s widow, Talinda Bennington seemingly approved of the band’s choice to replace Chester.
