Taylor Swift slammed over style as critics wonder if she 'borrowed' dress from BFF Blake Lively

Taylor Swift usually can do no wrong in the eyesight of many, but her recent outfit choice put an end to that.

Over the weekend the pop star had a sweet dinner date with her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce out in New York City. Like most of their evening dates, the pair dressed to impress. However, this time it seems that many didn’t approve of what the Fifteen songstress decided to wear for her romantic rendezvous with Travis. For their meet-up, Taylor wore a gold hook-and-eye corset top and flare mini skirt that revealed her long, toned legs. She pulled her outfit together with black open-toe wedge sandals, accessorizing with gold jewelry.

The Grammy -winner’s outfit became the topic of conversation on Instagram when photos of Travis leading her to their dinner restaurant made their way to the Instagram account @deuxmoi.

“Fire this stylist immediately,” one commented. A second shared, “I wonder if he ever looks at her and he’s like wtf is she wearing now?” Another added, “All that money and no stylist. Pity.” Someone else joked, “Did Blake Lively dress her?” Someone else slammed: “Dress lookin like something from Project Runway Season 1 honey.”

Amid the shady comments about her style, there were of course many Swifties who came to her defense.

“I think she looks like she wears what she likes, and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Her body: her rules. Fabulous,” one raved. One other wrote: “People may not like her dress , but we CANT deny how soft and PRETTY SPARKLY she looks. She is glowing” A third defended: “Why are people being so mean? Taylor looks cute. She's pretty. The outfit is adorable. Give a break ffs.”

Taylor and Travis' romance took the world by storm when the couple went public with their relationship last year. Between Taylor's song lyrics about their relationship, their picture-perfect kiss at the Super Bowl, and adorable date nights, fans couldn’t be more obsessed with their love story.

Especially given how much the pair have publicly supported one another in their career successes last year. The blonde beauty attended many of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s NFL games, and in turn, he was seen singing his heart out at the Eras tour. Therefore, countless Swifties don’t understand why he doesn’t seem to uplift their relationship on social media, thus calling him out because of it.

Travis has over 6.8 million followers on Instagram, and happens to follow 1,590 people. He tends to post snaps of NFL game plays, sponsored videos, or simply funny moments with his fellow NFL star brother Jason Kelce from their podcast New Heights. But it appears he keeps his relationship away from the platform.
