Candy experts dole out the facts about California's most favored Halloween candies

As Halloween approaches, candy enthusiasts can look to state-by-state rankings to discover the most popular treats in their area. According to a recent report from CandyStore.com, California's top three Halloween candies this year are M&M's, Reese's Cups, and Skittles, with impressive sales figures highlighting their popularity.

In California, M&M's reign supreme, with a staggering 1,375,652 pounds expected to be sold. Following closely are Reese's Cups, which are projected to reach 1,252,435 pounds, and Skittles at 1,018,046 pounds.

The National Retail Federation projects that total spending on Halloween candy nationwide will reach $3.5 billion this year, marking a slight decline from last year's figures. Despite this dip, candy trends remain strong, with a growing interest in unique and nostalgic treats surfacing across the country.
