MARSHALL, SLATER COUNCILS MEET TONIGHT

City councils in Marshall and Slater will meet for their regular sessions Oct. 15.

The Marshall City Council will give second reading to ordinances executing agreements and contracts renewing arrangements with the Marshall Municipal Band, Marshall Community Chorus, and Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra. Their meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Marshall City Hall.

The Slater City Council is scheduled to hear an update from Mayor Terry Jordan on this weekend’s Slater Fall Festival, as well as the installation of cameras in the city park and a giveaway by the Slater Area Chamber of Commerce. The council is also expected to discuss progress on compiling the city’s lead service line inventory, and consider a bill authorizing a real estate transaction. Slater’s city council will begin their meeting at 7 p.m.
