University of Toledo interim President Matt Schroeder will “acknowledge our challenges, celebrate our successes, and set the direction for our future” in the annual State of the University address Wednesday.

Mr. Schroeder will discuss his vision for UT to be “the regional force powering opportunities to learn, care, work, and play,” according to a statement issued Tuesday.

His address will touch on UT’s efforts to “deliver innovative academic programs and student experiences, optimize UT Health operations, attract and retain talent to our region, and make UT a destination.”

The speech will begin at 3 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Auditorium and will be followed by a reception. University students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public are invited to attend.

Complimentary parking is available in areas 1S and 1N near the north entrance to campus off Bancroft Street. Parking in other areas will require an active UT parking pass or the purchase of a guest permit.

The State of the University address also will be streamed live at video.utoledo.edu .
