After battling that fire for nearly three hours, Kildare firefighters noticed heavy smoke and found themselves responding to the 7500 block of north P Street to assist Tonkawa, Blackwell and Ranch Drive firefighters with a grass fire in that area.Nearly 30 acres burned but none of the structures or homes in the area were damaged.At 7:35 p.m. Kildare firefighters found themselves responding to garage on fire at 6350 north Union. A Ponca City Fire unit assisted.Kildare chief Travis Harris said that upon arrival, firefighters found two small15x15 buildings fully engulfed and grass on fire.Harris said the fires were extinguished quickly and that the cause of the fire was a resident burning trash. Harris and other firefighters are concerned about today’s fire weather.“Please exercise care with outside activities and if you see smoke call and report it immediately.”</div></body>
