The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets have reportedly struck a trade that sends Davante Adams to the Big Apple in exchange for draft compensation.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter , the Jets are sending the Raiders a 2025 third-round pick that can become a second if certain conditions are met. But what are the conditions exactly?

Per Schefter, if Adams becomes a first- or second-team All-Pro this season, or if he is on the Jets' active roster for the AFC Championship Game or Super Bowl, New York's third-round pick becomes a second-rounder for Las Vegas.

Adams has 18 catches for 209 yards over three games this season. There's still 10 games left, so it's conceivable Adams could play at a high enough level that he garners first- or second-team All-Pro honors.

The second condition will be more difficult to meet, especially after the Jets' 2-4 start to the season. But, again, only one of the two conditions need to be met for the pick to flip to a second-rounder.

The Raiders were initially seeking a second-round pick plus additional compensation, but it was always unlikely they were going to get it. And, the fact that the Raiders did not have to pick up any money is likely the only reason they got as much as they did.

Whatever the case may be, the Raiders needed to unload Adams, who clearly had no intention of sticking around in Las Vegas. Now, general manager Tom Telesco has a significant draft pick to aid in his rebuild or retool of the roster moving forward. He also must figure things out with the current wide receivers group, which is thin.

Meanwhile, the Jets are hoping Adams can help them turn their season around, but New York has bigger problems that adding a wide receiver isn't going to solve.
