<body><div><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=2bwxj6_0w7pGmoi00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2bwxj6_0w7pGmoi00" width="1200" height="630" ></figure><p><b>Peter Rowan</b> and <b>Sam Grisman Project</b> will team up for a historic collaboration on January 9th, 2025 at the <b>Ryman Auditorium</b> in Nashville, TN to honor the legacy of <b>Old &amp; In the Way</b>, Rowan’s groundbreaking bluegrass band featuring <b>Jerry Garcia</b> and Sam Grisman’s father, <b>David Grisman</b>.</p><p>Sam Grisman shared his excitement in a heartfelt announcement, writing, “To say that I am honored to make this particular announcement is probably the understatement of the decade.”</p><p>He went on to announce, “We’ll be playing music from Old &amp; In the Way, and exploring Peter’s other musical universes, as well as songbooks of my father [David “Dawg” Grisman] and his dear friend [Jerry Garcia].”</p><p>The lineup for the night includes several of Grisman’s musical heroes, with more special guests to be announced in the coming weeks. Mandolin virtuosos <b>Sam Bush</b> and <b>Tim O’Brien</b> will take the stage, along with Grisman’s hand-picked ensemble featuring <b>Dominick</b> <b>Leslie</b> (who will celebrate his birthday that night) on mandolin, <b>Alex Hargreaves</b> (Billy Strings) on fiddle, <b>Nat Smith</b> on cello, <b>Victor Furtado</b> on banjo, <b>Max Flansburg</b> on guitar, and singer-songwriter <b>Logan Ledger</b>. Grisman and his rhythm section partner <b>Chris J. English</b> will round out the crew.</p><p>“Celebrating Peter’s catalog and his musicality has been the highlight of my year,” Grisman added, “and getting to curate an evening of Old &amp; In The Way music and so much more, with a cavalcade of friends and heroes on the sacred stage at Ryman, seems like the most spectacular start we could have drawn up for 2025.”</p><p>Tickets will be available via an artist pre-sale starting Wednesday, October 16th at 10 a.m. CT, using the code “SGPETER,” followed by the general on-sale on Friday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m. CT.
