NOPD deploys SWAT to Gentilly Woods

The New Orleans Police SWAT team is in the 5100 block of Montegut Dr. in Gentilly Woods.

NOPD says a suspect is barricaded in a residence there, but no further details were made available.

Notification of the standoff came shortly before 12:30 p.m.

People are asked to keep clear of that area.

The city should build a SWAT training facility in that area so they don't have to travel much to get to the problem. They could just walk to the area. lol!!!
