Cheesy Pepperoni-Stuffed Garlic Pull-A-Parts For Football Season

Honestly, we make this at all times of the year. Sometimes it's shaped like a Christmas tree, sometimes, it's shaped like a soccer ball, sometimes, it's just baked in a square pan...but regardless of the shape, these cheesy garlic rolls are divine. This is what you'll need for about 16-32 pull-a-parts:

    For the Rolls:

    • 19 oz pizza dough (Homemade or purchased)
    • 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
    • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni, finely chopped
    • 1/2 Tbsp milk
    • flaky salt

    For the Garlic Herb Butter:

    • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
    • 1 large garlic clove, minced
    • 1 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
    • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
    • salt & pepper to taste

    To Serve:

    • 1 slice cheese of choice, optional (mozarella, provolone, cheddar)
    • Marinara sauce

Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Using a knife or bench scraper, cut the cheese sticks into four pieces each. Divide the pizza dough into 16 pieces (or 32 for smaller bite-sized rolls).

Flatten each piece of dough into a small rectangle using your fingers. Place about 1/2 tablespoon of pepperoni and two chunks of cheese in the center of the dough. Wrap the dough around the filling, pinching it closed, and roll into a ball (for 32 rolls, use one cheese piece per roll).

Arrange the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, forming them in the shape of a football. Ensure the balls are touching but not overcrowded.

Brush the tops with milk and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Bake for 18 minutes, then broil for 2-3 minutes until the tops are golden brown. Let them cool slightly.

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine melted butter, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture over the warm rolls.

For a fun finishing touch, cut a slice of cheese into seven thin strips and arrange them on top of the rolls to resemble football laces. Serve with warm marinara sauce and enjoy!
