Chiefs $6.4 million vet could be 'on thin ice' with Kansas City

The Kansas City Chiefs are unbeaten so far this season, but that doesn't mean that the roster is perfect.

Even the Chiefs could use a boost. The wide receiver position has been the one that has been the most talked about lately, and it's not hard to see why, with all of the injuries stacking up. Kansas City also hasn't gotten production out of some players it hoped to.

Because of this, FanSided's Joe Summers said that receiver Skyy Moore could be "on thin ice" with the team after the bye week.

"It certainly feels like Skyy Moore's time with the organization is dwindling to a close," Summer said. "He played only 7 percent of the snaps in Week 5 and doesn't have a catch on the season. His only real contributions were muffing a punt and dropping an open pass on third down, drawing the ire of Brett Veach in the process.

"The 2022 second-round pick has been one of the bigger Chiefs' draft busts in recent memory and it feels like a fresh start elsewhere would be best for both parties. Even still, Andy Reid frequently praises the young wideout and there's a reason he was a highly-coveted prospect in the first place."

The Chiefs have been linked to a handful of receivers as trade targets and it wouldn't be shocking to see a move happen. If that ends up being the case, Moore's spot with the organization could end up going elsewhere with the trade deadline quickly approaching on Nov. 5.
