HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A child had to be airlifted to Cohen Children’s Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after being attacked by two dogs, the Nassau County Police said.

Officers responded to a location on Lantern Road in Hicksville at about 12:20 p.m. and spotted two “involved” dogs, two women and a juvenile girl.

The girl was airlifted for treatment of facial injuries, and the two women were taken to a local area hospital to treat leg injuries.

The dogs were secured and animal control was responding to assist with them, officials said.

    The investigation is ongoing.

Definitely pit bulls. They always go for the child’s face. When is enough? We need to outlaw them. No more breeding! In 15 years, we can stop hearing about children being horrifically mauled.Oh, don’t you dare come back and say they are such gentle dogs. It has been breed into them for generations. My German Shepherds herd me towards the refrigerator. Pits mail.
