The New England Patriots have been having issues with injuries and performance along their offensive line all season, so their roster and practice squad have been in flux.

On Tuesday, New England announced that they've signed offensive lineman Lecitus Smith off of the Green Bay Packers practice squad.

Smith, 26, played collegiate at Virginia Tech before the Arizona Cardinals selected him in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft. He appeared in 10 games (starting two) at guard for Arizona as a rookie, but in 2023, he was cut out of training camp and spent time on the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. He signed with Green Bay this offseason.

He'll likely fill the role that Nick Leverett filled (versatile backup interior lineman) before his release.

They also announced that they've released center Sincere Haynesworth from their practice squad to make room for the previously reported signing of cornerback Miles Battle.

Haynesworth, 23, joined New England's practice squad just a week ago after spending the offseason and preseason with the New Orleans Saints.
