The Boston Fleet of the PWHL officially announced its schedule for the 2024-25 season on Tuesday, with the puck set to be dropped on the franchise’s second campaign on Nov. 30.

The Fleet will set sail toward a new season on the road against the Toronto Sceptres during that Nov. 30 matchup. Boston’s home opener at Lowell’s Tsongas Center is set for Wednesday, Dec. 4 in a Walter Cup Final rematch against the Minnesota Frost.

“There’s a lot to look forward to as we head into season two,” Boston Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer said in a press release. “Each team improved through the draft, raising the overall quality of play across the league, so we know every game will be a battle. I imagine our team is especially excited for our first meeting with Minnesota.

“And, of course, the Boston-Montréal rivalry lived up to the hype after last year’s intense playoff series. Last season, the playoff picture came down to the final game of the regular season, so there isn’t a game on this schedule we can afford to overlook. We have some unfinished business to attend to.”

In total, 11 of the Boston Fleet’s games will be played at Tsongas, with another 13 set to be played at other PWHL venues. Six other matchups have venues that have yet to be announced.

“Non-primary venue games along with broadcast and streaming information, will be announced in the coming weeks,” the Fleet’s press release noted.

During the PWHL’s inaugural season, several games were held at NHL venues, including a matchup between Boston and Ottawa on March 16 that was held at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena.

The Fleet have two non-venue games on their docket (March 26 vs. Toronto, March 29 vs. Ottawa) where TD Garden does not have any events scheduled.

The Fleet are looking to carry over momentum from a successful first season in 2023-24.

Despite finishing third out of the six PWHL teams last year with an 8-4-3-9 record, Boston orchestrated a playoff run behind the strong play of Aerin Frankel in net. Boston made it all the way to a do-or-die Game 5 matchup against Minnesota in the Walter Cup Final before losing the title game, 3-0, in Lowell.

“There’s a lot of excitement in our group around announcing our upcoming schedule,” Boston head coach Courtney Kessel said in the release. “As last season progressed, we felt the investment from our fans, so today is not only exciting for us, but also for them. We’re all eager to get back to the rink and pick up where we left off.”

Boston’s training camp will open on Nov. 12 at Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley. After a week of camp, the Fleet will travel to Montreal for a mini-camp, taking part in scrimmages against the Montreal Victoire on Nov. 20 and Ottawa Charge on Nov. 21.

The 2024-25 PWHL season will have several stoppages to accommodate players participating in international competitions. Along with two international breaks on Dec. 9-16 and Feb. 3-10, the season will halt from April 3-25 for the Women’s World Championships.
