The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) announced today that works by three Charlestown-based artists Robin Spears Jr., Narragansett Indian Tribe citizen, his cousin, River Spears, Narragansett member, and Mikala Jackson, Kutzudika’a Paiute, Paiute Shoshone member, are currently on display in the Atrium Gallery at One Capitol Hill. The exhibition, Indigenous Innovations, features traditional artwork utilizing natural materials from the eastern woodland and coastal landscape.
