Chargie, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced the receipt of two grants totaling $9.3 million from the California Energy Commission (CEC) under the Reliable, Equitable, and Accessible Charging for Multi-family Housing 2.0 (REACH 2.0) program. These funds will facilitate the installation, operation, and maintenance of over 1,000 Level 2 EV charging stations across nearly 50 residential communities in Northern and Southern California.

Significantly, more than 90 percent of these charging stations will be located in low-income and disadvantaged communities (LIDACs), underscoring Chargie's commitment to equitable EV access. The REACH 2.0 grant is part of the CEC's Clean Transportation Program, which aims to enhance air quality, combat climate change, and promote electrified mobility across the state.
