Alabama Five-Star WR Commit Raves About Environment At LSU Visit

On Saturday night, Death Valley was as active as ever during LSU's 29-26 overtime victory over Ole Miss, in which head coach Brian Kelly welcomed a plethora of recruits to campus to witness a classic in Baton Rouge.

After seemingly falling off the radar after losing to USC in week one, the Tigers are right back in the thick of the college playoff race after notching a signature victory. Not only did LSU resurrect its 2024 season, but it also attempted to reignite some recruiting wars with visiting players.

One of those players, five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, came away wowed by the crowd inside Tiger Stadium.

    “I don’t think anybody’s atmosphere can top LSU’s," Cunningham said .

Cunningham has been committed to Alabama since July during the Crimson Tide's summer recruiting heater.

The No. 14 player in the country and No. 2 wide receiver, according to The 247Sports Composite, hasn't been shy about taking visits to other programs, with trips to Ole Miss, Auburn, and now LSU all coming during the season.

"LSU was in the race before the summer, and they started slacking during the summer, but they're trying to work their way back up now," Cunningham said. "I had a good time on the visit, and they are doing their job trying to flip me, but nothing has changed with my commitment."

Cunningham is the third highest-ranked recruit in the Crimson Tide's No. 2 overall class, according to 247Sports, that boasts five different five-star commitments.

LSU is sitting at No. 4 with the nation's No. 1 overall recruit, quarterback Bryce Underwood, locked in with the Tigers.
