WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals made some major shakeups ahead of their second game of their season, and they're hoping they pay off as they play host to the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. ET at Capital One Arena.

Washington Capitals Line Combinations
The Capitals made some big changes to their lineup, as Jakub Vrana slots in for Sonny Milano up front and Aliaksei Protas and Andrew Mangiapane switch lines.
On defense, Matt Roy is out "for a decent amount of time" after being hurt in the second period of Saturday's contest, so Dylan McIlrath will take his place on the second pairing alongside Martin Fehervary.
Logan Thompson will start his first game for D.C., with Charlie Lindgren backing up.

- Dylan Strome and John Carlson both posted multi-point outings (1G, 1A) in the season opener.
- Alex Ovechkin had an assist on Tuesday and will look to add to his stat line against Vegas. He has five goals and two assists for seven points in 11 career games vs. the Golden Knights.
- Pierre-Luc Dubois picked up a helper in his Capitals debut and has 11 points in 15 career games against Vegas.
