Travelers looking for budget-friendly options to fly from the U.S. to Japan will soon have a new choice. Japanese low-cost carrier Zipair announced last week that it will launch flights from Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Tokyo's Narita International Airport (NRT) starting March 4, 2025. The new service will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

To celebrate the new route, Zipair is offering round-trip flights from Houston to Tokyo for as low as $666, or $333 each way, available for booking until November 30. While the airline charges extra fees for inflight meals, checked baggage, and seat selection, travelers may still find lower overall costs compared to major carriers like All Nippon Airways and United Airlines.

Zipair will utilize a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner for this route, which features 290 seats, including 18 lie-flat business-class pods and 272 standard economy seats.
