Kamala Harris ’ wide-ranging interview Tuesday with radio host Charlamagne Tha God received instant praise from analysts and others on social media who called it “magnificent” and “very, very impressive.”

“Black men should take a victory lap right now,” Jamal Simmons, co-host of the TrailBlaze podcast, told CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.

Harris spent the hourlong interview with the popular Black radio host, dubbed an audio town hall, criticizing former President Donald Trump, answering questions from the host and listeners, and laying out her vision for the Black community.

“She did a terrific job in talking to that audience and answering the questions that she was asked,” CNN analyst Gloria Borger said. “Which, if you look at Donald Trump’s performance today at the Economic Club in Chicago, is just the opposite of what he did.”

Former Barack Obama White House official Van Jones said Harris did “a magnificent job," adding “That's the best she's done since she ripped Donald Trump apart on the debate stage. She was indeed very, very impressive.”

"That was just awesome, she did extraordinarily well,” he said on Blitzer's show, “The Situation Room.” “She was comfortable in her skin, she was fluid – she talked about stuff that black folks really care about.”

Bryan Lanza, a Trump campaign senior adviser, had a less optimistic view, telling Blitzer that Harris struggles with economic issues and that Trump “is gaining support” with non-white men under 35.

“They sort of see her and the Biden administration as a path of hopelessness,” he said.

Doug Klain, a policy analyst for the nonprofit group Razom for Ukraine, wrote on X that he thought the interview was “one of the best interviews I’ve heard with @KamalaHarris (or any candidate) in quite some time.

"Excellently frank and meaningful questions from Charlamagne and listeners,” Klain wrote.

She didn't rip anyone apart. She failed to answer questions and needed help from the moderators to even survive the debate.
