The community is welcome to donate food items to feed those who have served
Blackstone Valley, MA (October 15, 2024) - The annual Thanksgiving Food Drive has been announced by Centerline Mechanical LLC, a local full service HVAC company and proud Mass Save Heat Pump Installer in Hopedale, in support of Project New Hope, Inc. in Worcester. The Centerline team is collecting food donations from the community that will provide Thanksgiving meals to Veterans and their families on Thanksgiving Day. Donation bins for collection will be outside of the Centerline Mechanical office at 5 Charlesview Road, Hopedale, MA, from Friday, November 1 until Friday, November 22 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Project New Hope, Inc. Worcester is a charitable organization with a strong commitment to providing Veterans and their families with the resources they need. Project New Hope Inc. salutes and proudly serves Veterans and service members in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Guard and Reserve, as well as their families. Each year they hold the “Turkey for Vets” program to giveback to the Veterans who have served this country, as well as their families, by providing them with a Thanksgiving meal.
“Project New Hope Inc.’s ‘Turkey for Vets’ program is more than just a holiday meal—it’s a way to honor and support veterans and their families during a time of financial uncertainty. By providing traditional Thanksgiving essentials and gift cards, we aim to ease the burden for those who have served, ensuring that they can enjoy a warm and meaningful holiday,” said William H. Moore, Project New Hope Inc. Executive Director, “In a year where inflation has made basic needs harder to meet, we are proud to stand by our veterans, offering both practical support and a message of gratitude for their service and sacrifices.”
Over 200 nonperishable meals were donated to the organization and fed over 100 families last year, in 2023. This year, Centerline Mechanical LLC will have collection boxes set outside of the facility located at 5 Charlesview Road in Hopedale, MA. The community can contribute to Project New Hope’s mission this year by donating nonperishable food items to support Project New Hope Inc. in Worcester with their mission to equip and feed service members, along with their families.
"Our goal is to play a part in making this Thanksgiving the most enjoyable as possible for those who have dedicated all that they had to protect this country,” said Centerline Mechanical LLC owner Julian Picard.
