    ESPN Announces 'Monday Night Football' News After Bills-Jets

    The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills played a prime-time matchup on "Monday Night Football" in Week 6 of the NFL season. Following the Bills' 23-20 victory, broadcasted on ESPN, the network released an official PR announcement.

    Buffalo's victory over its AFC East foe was the second most-watched "Monday Night Football" Week 6 game in the ESPN era, accumulating statistics through 19 games.

    The game between Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen peaked at 19.1 million viewers and averaged 17.3 million viewers.

    Much of the attention was on Rodgers and Allen in a matchup that many fans believed to be a passing of the torch .

    With the win over the Jets, Allen and the Bills advanced 4-2 on the season. They're the No. 1 team in the AFC East, with the Jets standing at No. 3, holding a 2-4 record.

    Allen has led the Bills to a successful 2024-25 season, picking up early wins against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and Jets.

    In the win over the Jets, Allen posted two touchdowns and 215 yards, completing 19-of-25 pass attempts.

    After the big-time matchup in Week 6, ESPN's "Monday Night Football" will feature a doubleheader in Week 7.

    During the 8:15 p.m. ET slot, the Baltimore Ravens will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following that matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers will take on the Arizona Cardinals at 9 p.m . ET.
