More school zones in New Orleans are now being monitored with automated enforcement.

The city says it has been working to re-sign school zones to bring them into compliance with a new state law that requires ticket-issuing cameras to operate only one hour before and one hour after the beginning of the school day, and one hour before and one hour after the end of the school day.

The city says the following school zones will be activated Wednesday, October 16 as part of this phase-in:

    1. Southbound 2900 Paris Ave. at St. Leo the Great School
    2. Northbound 2900 Paris Ave. at St. Leo the Great School
    3. Eastbound Bienville Street. at North St. Patrick Street
    4. Northbound 3900 Canal St. at St. John Lutheran School
    5. Southbound 1700 Nashville Ave. at The Willow Middle/High School
