Michigan Wolverines freshman quarterback Jaydn Davis arrived in Ann Arbor, Michigan with high hopes for eventually replacing 2024 top ten NFL Draft pick JJ McCarthy and leading the 2023-2024 national champs back to the mountaintop.

This season has been one for watching, learning and developing for the Providence Day High School product in the Great Lakes State.

Davis, who played his high school football in Charlotte, North Carolina, has not taken a snap for the Wolverines after a promising spring football season.

The Wolverines prodigy found himself on the minds of Michigan fans on Tuesday with a strong willed Instagram post that left more than a little bit to the imagination.

"Sometimes you don't gotta tell the story...Time will," Davis said .

"Current vibe: Huge goals, clear vision, strong mindset" Davis added in a meme that included pictures of him in the maize and blue along with the school's famous winged helmet.

"Qb1 please," one reader wrote in response to Davis' post.

"No need to redshirt get some experience under your belt and play for us please," another fan said.

"Please start against Illinois," still another said about the former five-star prospect.

The Wolverines are preparing to start a quarterback on the opposite end of the seniority spectrum this weekend in Jack Tuttle, the seventh-year graduate student who has endeared himself to fans, coaches and teammates with promising play despite costly turnovers in Michigan's road loss to Washington two Saturdays ago.

The Wolverines are scheduled to face Illinois at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Champagne, Ill.
