When Is October’s Full Moon in 2024?
If you want to witness the full moon in all its glory, it’s set to appear on Thursday, October 17, at 7:26 a.m. EDT.
It will be the third of four supermoons this year. “There will be one more supermoon after this one in November,” Stardust tells Parade . “Each of these moons will look closer in proximity to Earth, making them appear bigger and brighter.”

Stardust shares that October’s full moon recognizes spiritual growth where people can self-reflect and find inner power that they didn’t know they had. “This particular full moon encourages people to be brave, live without hesitation and not stand back on the sidelines,” she explains. “Instead, it nudges people to take action in order to better themselves in any capacity.”
Though, as the saying goes, "with great power comes great responsibility," which is why it’s important to not to take any drastic actions during the full moon—even if you feel the urge to—without thinking them through first.

You won’t have trouble feeling the energy in the air from October’s full moon. “The fiery energy of the Aries moon will give people the strength and power to say how they feel and fight for what they want,” Stardust states. “If there is any part of life that has made someone feel less than, this moon will give them the courage to express their sentiments about that situation.”
However, she notes that can have negative consequences, as some people will have trouble controlling how they express themselves to others. That will especially be relevant in matters concerning people’s careers and love lives.
“When it comes to your job, October’s full moon will make you want to take a stand against authority in the workplace,” Stardust tells Parade . “Cancers, particularly, may benefit from this push as their career will have a boost, allowing those to get the raise or a promotion that they desire.”
Though, that’s not the case for all zodiac signs , so she advises to proceed with caution and avoid taking any rash actions, as they can easily backfire. “It’s important to choose your words wisely before saying things that you may regret,” she emphasizes.
As far as people’s love lives are concerned, Stardust says this month’s full moon will bring about turbulence and not all relationships will survive. “With the action planet Mars and expansive Jupiter activating October’s full moon, expect arguments to commence, as well as relationships to end,” she warns.
