Police: Stamford man admits to driving 140 mph before Merritt Parkway crash, charged with DWI

Hugo Garcia, of Stamford, faces charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving after a crash on the Merritt Parkway. According to police, Garcia admitted to driving 140 mph before losing control. A passenger was hospitalized. Officers found alcohol in the vehicle. Garcia claimed he had consumed approximately 12 beers. "
