Kayla Nicole Reveals Her Mom's Reaction To Angel Reese Podcast Appearance

Kayla Nicole opened up about the heartbreaking situation that she had to deal with after guesting on Angel Reese’s podcast.

The sports reporter voiced her regret over how she conducted the interview and how it turned out.

In the latest episode of “I Am Athlete Daily,” Nicole shared her disappointment with the public's differing perception of her story.

“After the podcast came out, I thought that I handled things with grace,” she said, adding, “I thought that I answered the questions to the best of my ability. The public had their interpretation of things, it didn’t matter to me.”

At the height of the backlash, the fitness and fashion influencer was unbothered by the negative statements on social media—not until Nicole’s heart broke when her mother expressed concern about it.

Explaining how the conversation "mattered to her," Nicole said, “Because she’s offended; she’s hurt by the way people are perceiving her daughter; she’s hurt by the negative headlines and the way that people are spinning it.”

As she became emotional, her mood changed after recalling her mother’s advice. According to Nicole, she was told not to answer “those questions” next time.

“Don’t give it any energy. You don’t have to always respond,” she added.

It’s worth noting that the sports reporter appeared on the “ Unapologetically Angel ” podcast, where she and Reese discussed her past relationships.

During the episode, Kayla Nicole made a bold revelation about a well-known personality she used to date but ended the relationship via text for a “singer and actress.”

Although she didn’t reveal the person’s name, she described her as someone “who was famous at the time.”

While some thought that it was Travis Kelce, whom she also used to date from 2017 to 2022, Nicole dropped a hint and said that she dressed up as her ex’s new girlfriend for Halloween.

Apparently, the person was Teyana Taylor, who dated former New York Knicks player Iman Shumpert in the past.
