Both 27 year old Nicholas Lloyd and 34 year old Elicea Lloyd are now facing multiple charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Elicea is facing additional charges of Assault in the 1st and 2nd, and Reckless Assault of a Child. Those charges are considered violent felonies.During the arraignment on Friday, October 11th, the indictment had alleged life-threatening injuries were inflicted on the Lloyd’s children who were an infant and toddler at the time.<blockquote>“Without the intervention of Emergency Medical Care, initiated by the daycare provider of the children, it is likely both would have perished.” said D.A. Perfetti.</blockquote>Both Nicholas and Elicea surrendered to State Police at Homer as a result of their indictment. <blockquote>“This was an involved investigation, ably headed by Inv. C. Rounds, of the NYSP-Bureau of Criminal Investigation in conjunction with [the] Child Protective Unit of the Cortland County Dept. of Social Services;” credited D.A. Perfetti.</blockquote>Both children have been removed from their care since their hospitalization back in July. The DA’s Office says motion dates have been set for the case on December 9th. If convicted, Elicea could face 25 years in State Prison with 5 years post-release supervision while Nicholas could face 2 years in County Jail.Elicea is being held in Cortland County Jail on $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or $100,000 partially secured bond. Nicholas was released on his own recognizance.</div></body>
