Last night, the Rock Springs City Council unanimously approved a KW Commercial listing agreement for the building. The City has owned the vacant building since 2011 and had obtained grant money to remodel it. If sold, much of that grant money would need to be paid back.Also, at last night’s meeting, J.J. Syvrud was appointed and sworn in as the new Director of the Rock Springs Parks and Recreation Department. Dave Lansang recently retired from that position. Syvrud had been serving as the Superintendent of the Rock Springs Civic Center. The Council also approved a resolution contract with Great Western Recreations for just over $92,000 for new playground equipment at Wataha Park, as well as approved a resolution to purchase a 2025 membership with the Wyoming Association of Municipalities in the amount of $29,569.24.</div></body>
