According to a new report by Yahoo News, an MI-based plant, Stellantis, is laying off 1,100 workers. According to the report, the major automaker and the parent company of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram, announced that it would be laying off the workers at its plant in Warren.

The plant makes the Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and the Ram 1500 - which is being discontinued. The company released a statement saying it would be "implementing indefinite layoffs of represented employees across its footprint".

The company has been accused by The United Auto Workers (UAW) of "gross mismanagement". The CEO of the company, Carlos Tavares, said that he plans to retire when his contract is up in 2026.
