On Wednesday, the English Football Association confirmed that former Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel will be the manager of the England National Team starting in 2025.

The Three Lions' social media team wasted no time posting a personal video message from its new coach, giving England fans plenty to be excited about.

Tuchel will replace interim manager Lee Carsley on Jan. 1 to begin England's march toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Fabrizio Romano reported that Tuchel's contract runs until July 2026, after the conclusion of the tournament which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Reactions flooded in with confidence following Tuchel's first public message. "Finally England have a competent manager," wrote a popular response on X.

"This is what England needed," another happy fan said . The England job marks the first time the German will coach a national team, but he has has won 11 major trophies at club level, including the 2021 UEFA Champions League with Chelsea.

He even got the royal seal of approval from Prince William, the Prince of Wales, on social media.

Tuchel follows in the footsteps of Gareth Southgate, who led England to the finals of Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, falling short of a trophy on both occasions. He also oversaw a semifinal appearance in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and a quarterfinal appearance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but those deep tournament runs were not enough to end England's multi-generational trophy drought.

The Three Lions have not won a major international tournament since lifting the World Cup on home soil in 1966.

"I will do everything that we can to qualify for World Cup, first of all, and then we have a successful World Cup," Tuchel promised in the video. "Try to get a second star on our shirt."
