History will be made at the United Center on Wednesday as Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball is expected to suit up for a preseason contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking his first game action in over two years.

Ball will become the first NBA player to ever return from what is essentially a meniscus replacement surgery . Many within the basketball world thought that Ball would never play again after a long and winding recovery process that featured several surgeries and setbacks. But on Wednesday, he's set to prove us all wrong.

Julian Phillips exited early from Monday’s preseason loss to the Milwaukee Bucks due to a rib contusion. The Bulls have been extremely cautious with their players and any bumps and bruises they've encountered during preseason action so far.

Phillips, big man Jalen Smith (knee), and Patrick Williams (wrist) could be game-time decisions for Wednesday's contest against the Timberwolves.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) and Coby White (groin) both expressed that they were fine and could've played in Monday’s game after being held out. Zach LaVine and Nikola Vuceivic, who both sat Monday for veteran rest, are expected to suit up along with Dosunmu and White on Wednesday.
