Homemade Baked French Fry Recipe: Easy and Delicious!

I love making homemade french fries. They remind me of some restaurant I ate at several years ago that served frites. They were so good that I decided to try to make some of my own. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

3 - 4 large russet potatoes

1 -2 tablespoons of oil

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of paprika

salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Wash and cut the potatoes into french fry size.

In a medium bowl add the potatos and oil and stir them to coat the potatoes evenly on all sides.

Sprinkle in the garlic salt, paprika, salt and pepper and stirring half way to make sure that the potatoes are getting evenly seasoned.

Add the potatoes to a greased baking sheet and make sure they are flat on the pan. Tip: The hot oven and the oil is what makes these french fries crispy.

Cook them for 40 -45 minutes or until the french fries are cooked through, turning them once with a spatula.

Remove the potatoes from the oven and you can sprinkle them with some salt if you like your potatoes seasoned after cooking. Enjoy!

Note: You can peel these potatoes or leave the peelings on. I usually do some of both when I am making this recipe so everyone can have the potatoes they enjoy.

I like to serve these on the side of a cheeseburger or when I am making homemade chili because my family thinks chili cheese fries are the best.
